BOOK SESSIONS

Grief & Loss

Grief can feel disorienting, painful, and lonely. Loss is not something we simply “get over.” It changes us. Together, we can make space for the emotions that come with your loss, honour what has mattered to you, and gently work toward finding meaning, connection, and a way to carry your experience forward.

Anxiety & Depression

You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in your thoughts, or like you’re struggling to find motivation or enjoyment in your life. Together, we can slow things down and explore the emotions, needs, and patterns underneath what you’re experiencing. With greater understanding and self-compassion, you can begin to feel more grounded, connected, and hopeful.

You don’t have to carry everything alone.

A supportive space to feel heard, understand the responses that have helped keep you safe,

and move toward a more grounded and meaningful life.

Areas of Support

Care shaped around your story—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Life Transitions & Change

Change can leave you feeling uncertain, unsettled, or like you no longer recognize yourself. Whether you’re navigating a relationship change, career transition, parenting changes, or a new chapter in life, counselling can provide space to process what you’re feeling, reconnect with what matters to you, and find your footing as you move forward.

Self-Esteem & Self-Confidence

You may find yourself questioning your worth, second-guessing your decisions, comparing yourself to others, or feeling like you’re never quite enough. Counselling can help you understand where these beliefs and patterns come from and develop a more compassionate, secure relationship with yourself—so you can trust your own voice and feel more confident in who you are.

Rebekah Johnson, Canadian Certified Counsellor in Courtenay BC

BSN, MACP, CCC

I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a background in nursing and a deep belief in the capacity people have to heal, grow, and live meaningful lives.

My approach to counselling is grounded in attachment-based and humanistic perspectives, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT helps us understand the emotions and underlying needs that shape how we respond to ourselves and the people around us. Rather than simply trying to change a behaviour or “think differently,” we can slow down and explore what is happening underneath: what you are feeling, what you need, and the patterns you may have developed to protect yourself or maintain connection.

Meet Rebekah

I believe that many of the ways we respond to life have developed for good reasons. Sometimes, though, strategies that once helped us cope can begin to leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure.

Counselling can be a space to slow down, become curious about what is happening beneath the surface, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can explore the emotions, relationships, experiences, and patterns that may be shaping how you see yourself and move through the world.

My hope is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood without judgment, and supported in finding your own way forward. I won’t tell you who you should be or what you should do. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own authentic self, strengths, and wisdom.

Outside of counselling, I’m a mom, an introvert, and someone who values time in nature, meaningful connection, good conversation, and the quieter moments of everyday life. I know that life can hold many competing demands, and I believe that you deserve a space that is genuinely yours.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply know that something needs to change, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
